What does sale & stock clearance mean?

A sale or stock clearance is a campaign sale both in retail and online trade.
The aim is to arouse the interest of the buyer, e.g. through a high price reduction.
The dealer thus has the opportunity to clear his warehouse for new goods & the buyer has the chance to purchase the goods at a bargain price as long as the offer is valid.
